Customer Process & Timeline Guide
Welcome to Inspired Custom Cabinets! We’re excited to bring your vision to life with custom cabinetry that’s built to last. Below is a breakdown of what to expect during your project:
Step-by-Step Process
1. Measurement Appointment
We begin with a scheduled in-home measurement to ensure a precise fit for your custom cabinetry.
2. Design & Renderings
Our team creates detailed renderings including:
- Overhead layout plans
- Elevations (front views)
- 3D visualizations
3. Style Selection:
Choose your cabinet door and drawer style to match your vision.

4. Finish Selection
Select your preferred paint or stain finish for a personalized touch.

5. Rendering Approval
Once you’re happy with the design, you’ll approve the renderings before production begins.
6. Choose Your Delivery Option

*Please note: Door and drawer hardware is not included, but we will gladly professionally install it if you choose our Delivery & Installation option for your project.
7. Deposit & Payment
A 50% deposit is required to begin production.
- Preferred payment: ACH
- Credit Card: 3% fee applies
Final payment is due within 3 days of completed delivery or installation.
8. Production Timeline
Typical production takes 6–8 weeks, depending on the size and level of customization.
During “season” (January through late March), production time may extend to 8–10 weeks due to higher project volume.
Appliances
If you’re also replacing your kitchen and/or outdoor kitchen appliances, please provide us with spec sheets to ensure a proper custom fit in your cabinetry design

What to Expect During Delivery & Installation
If you opt for delivery and installation, here’s the typical order of operations:
- Cabinet Boxes Installed
- Countertops Installed
- Doors, Drawers, Crown Molding, and Toe Kicks Installed (within a few days after countertops)

Warranty Info
All custom cabinetry includes a lifetime limited warranty for original owners.
Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
Coverage Includes:
- Cabinet frames, doors, drawers, and hardware (hinges, drawer glides)
- Finishes against peeling, cracking, or blistering under normal use
Not Covered:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from abuse, misuse, neglect, water damage, extreme temperatures, or unauthorized modifications
- Natural variations in wood grain, color, and aging
Warranty Claims:
- Claims take a minimum of 2 weeks to process.
- Customers must submit photos and a detailed description of the issue.
- Inspired Custom Cabinets will determine if repair, replacement, or refinishing is appropriate.
Please note: Warranty service is limited to the original installation address and is non-transferable.

Q: Can I make changes after approving the renderings?
A: Minor changes may be possible, but they could affect the production timeline and cost. Major changes will require a new rendering approval.
Q: What if I’m not ready for delivery once my cabinets are finished?
A: We can store your cabinets for up to 2 weeks at no additional charge. Extended storage may incur a fee.
Q: What happens if something arrives damaged?
A: We stand by our product. If any items are damaged during delivery or installation, we will replace or repair them promptly.
Q: How do I maintain my custom cabinets?
A: Simply use a soft cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers to keep your finish looking like new.
Q: Are cabinet handles and knobs included in my order?
A: Hardware is not included by default, but we are happy to professionally install it if you provide the pieces or choose from our hardware options. Installation is included with our Delivery & Installation service.
Q: Can you match my existing cabinetry or finish?
A: We do our best to match existing styles or finishes. Please provide reference photos or samples, and we’ll confirm the closest possible match.
